I got another chance to photograph around Gowanus, Brooklyn and Soho with Nick and Kimberly. Nick loved the industrial and edgy look of their neighborhood and Kimberly liked the polished and chic look of Soho (where they work). So we were able to combine their personalities into their engagement session and hit up both areas! It was such a great time because they allowed me to be creative and free with them and we found some really amazing spaces to photograph at. It’s so awesome to be able to capture these photographs for them for the future!! It was also awesome because one of these shots was featured in the New York Times!! I am so thankful they chose me to be their new york city wedding photographer!! They will be getting married in California next year! Here are some of my favorite shots!
ROCK CLIMBING Engagement Photos! A Brooklyn Cliffs Rock climbing Engagement Session At Brooklyn Bridge Park
David and Eliza used to spend a bit of time rock climbing together when they first met... so it was really awesome when David suggested doing some photos at The CLIFFS at DUMBO !!!! I've always seen this place whenever I passed by but never got to go in. (Update in 2024, I think the Cliffs at Dumbo is no longer there, but this was a very loved place) I jumped at the idea- since I have never photographed a engaged couple rock climbing !! It was such a great idea! We got some REALLY cool shots of them hanging off the rocks and sprawling about.. then finished off the rest of the session nearby Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was such a unique session in new york city and I’m glad we had the opportunity to do it! There’s always something new and cool here and to be able to photograph such a meaninful place for this couple was everything. Here are some of my favorite shots: (PS: If you want to see David & Eliza's wedding day, here's the blog post for that!)
Three's Brewing Company in Gowanus Brooklyn, New York City Engagement Session
Anuja and John are SO adorable!! John is a man of never-ending information (which is totally impressive) and Anuja is a sweet and witty lady! I loved working with them, eating (and drinking) our way through Brooklyn - their neighborhood! We made pitstops at Luke's Lobster and Three's Brewing Company, found interesting and odd spaces and ended the session making SMORES on their brooklyn rooftop that had a view of New York City!! *___* It was a really a fun shoot and I'm so thankful for couples that allow me to be creative, energetic and spontaneous! Another great day as a new york city wedding photographer! Here are some of my favorite shots:
Central Park and Dumbo Brooklyn, NYC Engagement Photography Session
Jennifer and Paul moved to New York City from Houston, Texas. Living in New York has been amazing for them, so when they were deciding on where to do their engagement session, they agreed it would be wonderful to document their time in New York City together here. When choosing locations, they wanted some New York City staple locations, so Times Square was definitely on that list, along with Central Park. We then ended the session back in Brooklyn (where Paul currently lives) with his infamous Corgi pup named Siri. (Check out Siri's instagram; legend) I’m so glad I was able to capture such amazing and sweet moments for this couple as their time in New York City is so special! Another reason why I love being a New York City wedding photographer!!!
