These two amazing New York City chefs wanted to have an engagement photography session that would capture their personalities and their loves... for each other and for delicious food. They began with sharing dim sum with one another as a starter, then Ryan's famous beef noodle soup. They topped it off with some chocolate souffles ... which tasted... amazing. And yes... as the photographer I got to try some of the food.. hehe! It was really fun working with these two and we got some amazing shots in the process! I love doing things differently and trying new ideas- so much diversity and customs to experience as a New York City wedding photographer!! Here are some of my favorite shots from the session:
New York City Wedding in an Intimate Garden and Party at one of their favorite Bars in Brooklyn
Rose and Bennett planned an amazing wedding that really captured the essence of them and exactly how they wanted to celebrate their special day. They got ready at the chic and gorgeous Wythe Hotel, and had a very intimate ceremony located in a secret garden in manhattan - a haven that Rose frequented during her work days- and held a special place in her heart. Afterwards, they went and partied hard at one of their favorite Bars and even ordered a Mister Softee Truck to cater to their guests as a dessert! It was SUCH a fun day and I was so excited to be a part of it and capture such a unique New York City Wedding!
A "Friends" Inspired Engagement Session at the High Line and Washington Square Park with Katie & Amarveer
Katie & Amarveer wanted to do their engagement photos at the High Line in Chelsea, New York City. They wanted the rich urban vibes of the High Line and get some cool New York City street views as well. After those classic shots, they had a few of their best friends meet them at Washington Square Park and recreate some classic “Friends” NYC poses! (I figured it was perfect timing to blog this during the FRIENDS 25th anniversary year!!!) We took a little dip at the Washington Square Park water fountain (which yes, diehard fans, that’s not exactly where they filmed the opening of Friends BUT it SHOULD have been! LOL) and dancing with some NYC pigeons. O_O! It was a lot of fun working with them and their awesome group of friends and this was a engagement session/friend session to remember!

Classic and Elegant New York City Wedding at Gelso and Grand on the Lower East Side
Angelo and Jennifer wanted a classic New York City wedding that would be beautiful, and elegant but also a great time for their friends and family. They decided to have their reception at Gelso and Grand, an Italian restaurant on the lower east side of Manhattan that borders Little Italy and Chinatown - a nod to both their backgrounds and cultures. Jennifer wore a gorgeous Hayley Paige wedding dress, which she fell in love with and bought — even before she started planning the actual wedding! They both got ready at the Hotel 50 Bowery and had their beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral. They then ended the night with delicious food, drinks, dancing— and my favorite part was the indoor SPARKLERS!! Definitely an amazing night out in the beautiful city of New York!
