These two amazing New York City chefs wanted to have an engagement photography session that would capture their personalities and their loves... for each other and for delicious food. They began with sharing dim sum with one another as a starter, then Ryan's famous beef noodle soup. They topped it off with some chocolate souffles ... which tasted... amazing. And yes... as the photographer I got to try some of the food.. hehe! It was really fun working with these two and we got some amazing shots in the process! I love doing things differently and trying new ideas- so much diversity and customs to experience as a New York City wedding photographer!! Here are some of my favorite shots from the session:
Wedding at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City, New York City
Lin & Joey had their wedding at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City. I absolutely LOVE this space and one of my favorite wedding venues in New York City! They film a lot of movies, fashion shoots, editorials and commercials in here! They have a ton of odd props and items all over. Not only did they have really cool props, the building itself had so much character to it. Lots of beautiful walls, odd windows that lead to nowhere, tons of mirrors, frames, chairs and antiques!! - it was really a photographer’s dream! I also loved that Lin and Joey allowed me to really enjoy the space and have a feast getting some really amazing shots everywhere I could! Not only did the space itself have a ton to offer, but Lin herself put in a LOT of DIY on decorations, wedding favors and center pieces! It was an amazing day, full of tears, laughter and crazy friends gettin DOWN. But definitely a DAY WELL SPENT!

A New York City Wedding in Long Island City and Manhattan
Congrats to this adorable couple!! I was so blessed to be able to photograph such a beautiful, loving and Christ-centered wedding of Ha & Mark. From the funny, quirky and cute vows to the most heartfelt parent (and sibling) speeches I've ever heard, you can tell just how clearly these two people are loved. This wedding was so full of love, all of the decorations-- and even the food were prepared by volunteers and people who really loved them. It was really sweet. It was a great wedding in New York City, and we were able to incorporate so many views of the New York City skyline at the piers at Gantry State Park. We started the day in Long Island City and then made our way to the Queens Botanical Garden for the ceremony and finally to the upper west side where they had their reception at Redeemer Church.
Here are some of my favorite highlights from the day:
Last but not least… I made a little something special for this couple! While editing their wedding, I noticed their reception was non-stop fun and movement… so filled with dancing and fun.. SO, I decided to turn the whole night into a stop motion. So, if you were part of their big day, be prepared to see your face somewhere within this slideshow! It’ll be a fun ride! ENJOY!!!
A New York City Summer Studio Long Island City Wedding
Congrats to Cori & Spencer! Their venue, Studio Square, was a gorgeous raw space in Long Island City in New York City. They had an amazing view of the New York City Skyline. I always really appreciate a fun bride, groom and bridal party- they always help create the most fun stop motions and photos! The bride also had specially made Secret Groom's cake in the shape of his favorite pair of Jordans (he's a huge sneaker collector). It was really sweet!! Also Corinna was beautiful in her Jimmy Choo sparkly shoes and her gorgeous gown. All the support and love that was shown throughout the night was palpable and beautiful to witness. It was definitely a memorable night! Truly made me love being able to capture this multicultural and diverse and classic New York City Wedding as a New York City Wedding Photographer. Here are some of my favorites from the day!
