Fall is always a beautiful time for engagement photo shoots! The sunsets begin earlier, the nights a little chillier, but there’s nothing a DKA from Dominque Ansel in New York City can’t fix! Check out this adorable NYC engagement session with Jessica & Arcadius shot in the West Village and then some at the Oculus World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan! We were able to capture the randomness of NYC (including some random group shot of kids hanging out) and the chill of October has got nothing on sweet kisses, smores, wine and an awesome time together! I was so thankful to be their new york city wedding photographer and the following year photographed their wedding at City Winery! Here are some of the highlights of our engagement photo session:
A New York City Wedding at the Standard Hotel in Chelsea and Locanda Verde in Tribeca
It's a bit nippy in January, but 1/23 was a special date to Melanie and Matt. The day began at the Standard Hotel in Chelsea, New York City, then had their intimate ceremony at St Peter’s Church | Our Lady of the Rosary downtown in battery city. They chose a really cute little restaurant named Locanda Verde (Which the FOOD IS AMAZING) in Greenwich for their reception and had a really awesome laid back party. It was truly such an amazing day!! Everyone was excited and happy for the couple ..and had been waiting years for this day to come! Every detail of the day was a perfect addition, her gorgeous dress from BHLDN, the florals, the bridesmaids gifts - cozy shawls for the outdoor photos =P -- everything couldn't have been more perfect! It was the definition of a New York City Wedding! It’s always so wonderful to be able to capture such a diverse crowd with the union of this multi-cultural couple! Loved it! Here are some of my favorites from the day:
New Rochelle Wedding in Upper New York
I love weddings with beautiful sea views! Jing and Margaret chose to have their wedding outdoors on a roof that had a great view of the sea. The day was perfect, sunny and warm, and Jing definitely had to prepare and pass a lot of tests in order to enter the bride's family's home to pick her up so he could marry her! (Chinese traditions!) Margaret definitely went all out with the center pieces- Monopoly themed! Each table was a different part of town.. it was so cool! It was such a great day to be a part of and I wish them the best!! I was also lucky enough to photograph their engagement session in New York City in Central Park. Honored to have been their new york city wedding photographer!
