Gowanus, Brooklyn & Soho Engagement Session in New York City

I got another chance to photograph around Gowanus, Brooklyn and Soho with Nick and Kimberly.  Nick loved the industrial and edgy look of their neighborhood and Kimberly liked the polished and chic look of Soho (where they work).  So we were able to combine their personalities into their engagement session and hit up both areas! It was such a great time because they allowed me to be creative and free with them and we found some really amazing spaces to photograph at. It’s so awesome to be able to capture these photographs for them for the future!! It was also awesome because one of these shots was featured in the New York Times!! I am so thankful they chose me to be their new york city wedding photographer!! They will be getting married in California next year! Here are some of my favorite shots! 

New York City Eating Tour Engagement Session at Chelsea Market

I always love a couple that's willing to eat delicious food during their New York City Engagement Photo sessions.  Lindsey and Joe were one such couple that wanted to enjoy the delicacies of their neighborhood in Chelsea, New York City.  Nearby their apartment is the world famous Chelsea Market, so we causally ate some beef noodle soup, tacos and donuts! We had Los Tacos, Doughnuttery and Fresh Noodles.  I actually photographed their New York City wedding at Current, on Chelsea Piers and you can check out those shots here: Check it out here!  Lindsey and Joe are such beautiful people and really encapsulated New York City as their hometown.

Chelsea Rooftop New York City Engagement Session with a Shiba Inu Puppy

This engagement session was awesome!  I love couples that enjoy exploring and allowing me to find the "out of the ordinary" places to get cool shots.  Mary Beth took us up to her company's New York City rooftop so we could get some awesome views of New York City.   They also have a beautiful black shiba ina puppy named JIRO!!!! Check him out on insta @jiro_dreams_of_snacks!  We then walked around Chelsea, New York, getting street shots and cool spaces to use as backdrops. I had so much fun with them!! I cant wait for their wedding day- it’s going to a gorgeous fall wedding in new york city in the restaurant Public in Nolita!!!

West Village and Balloon Saloon Engagement Session

I had SUCH a fun time with these two, wandering the west village and Tribeca in New York City and trying to tame a dog-balloon! (I named him ROGER, and I tried to sneak him into Haiti with me... but that was a bust..) I loved how carefree these two were and willing to have fun with me in strange little creative spaces. We wandered around and even found a HUGE PIZZA BALLOON. You can never go wrong with PIZZA in NEW YORK CITY! It was so awesome to be able to be their New York City wedding photographer and capture these amazing and funny moments! I cannot wait to shoot their new york city wedding in a few months!
