Meagan and Michael met while studying abroad. Meagan is from Australia and Michael is from Great Britain. Despite their long distance, their relationship flourished and soon led them to New York City! They decided to have their family join them in New York City for their elopement at City Hall. We started the day at New York City Hall, got MARRIED, then we hit up SCARR Pizza for a quick snack. They then shuttled their family around to get some awesome portraits around the lower east side of Manhattan, some street shots and then of course one of my personal favorite spots, Freeman’s Alley. Picked up some drinks at Cornelia Street Cafe and finally had their dinner reception at Bobo in the West Village. It was such an awesome day and such a unique new york city filled with amazing foods, family, scenes and moments to remember!
Destination Wedding in New York City with a couple from the UK
Katy, a florist from the UK wanted to have her destination wedding in New York City. Philip and her have been to New York City a few times and knew this was going to be the place. Their families flew out from the UK to come and support the exciting event and shower them with love and encouragement! It was a sweet, intimate ceremony inside the New York City City Hall, followed by some amazing portraitures throughout New York City. Katy really loves the gritty urban look of NYC so we tried to incorporate that as much as possible. We ventured through Soho, the West Village and Chelsea. Took her to all the places I love to go to as a New York City wedding photographer. Here are some highlights:
A Queens City Hall, New York City Elopement
My dear friends, Sophia & Ryan currently live in LA, California- but wanted to come back to New York City (Sophia’s hometown) to get married so that her grandma could witness the great moment! They got ready together at the Standard Hotel - East Village then headed over to the Queens (represent!) County Courthouse to get married! Yes, we even took a photo with the 7 train :O) The ceremony was sweet and they were surrounded by their family and close friends and it was a honor and quite an adventure to witness and capture it all!! It was a sweet New York City elopement that was a precursor to their LA Wedding in the following year. Here are some highlights from the day!!
