Our backdrop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art fit them perfectly. Sonya had volunteered there a couple years back and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City held a very dear spot in her heart. They were a really outgoing couple, willing to fight the herds of people at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to get beautiful shots. They were patient and a gorgeous couple and I’m so glad they picked me as their New York City wedding photographer! Later this year they'll be traveling to Michigan and India to celebrate with more festivities! It’s so great to capture New York City’s culture and beauty!
A Greenwich Connecticut Multi Cultural Wedding with Nitya & Terrence
How amazing was this wedding?! It was 2 days full of celebration with friends and family. A TON of dancing and even a talent show performed by the family to strut their stuff for the bride and groom! And yes, a surprise Bhangra-team appearance to tip off the reception- and YES the bride's father RAPS,.. oh and uh, not to mention, the bride and groom gets a SIGNED blessing from the Pope himself. I think this wedding was jam-packed with a ton of good stuff. I had a ton of fun, and it seemed like everyone did as well. Nitya and Terrence are both from New York City but did not have a New York City Wedding since they wanted to have it where they are both from.
Check out some of my highlights for both days:

A Wedding in Greenwich, Connecticut and outside of New York City
Meena and Suyash had memorable pre-wedding events. Meena had a special event in the house where she grew up in Connecticut, with a morning ceremony and tying of kalira (silver ornaments tied to the bride’s marriage bangles for good luck) by family and friends, and henna as well. Then the couple had a wonderful dinner for family and out-of-town guests. Both the couple currently live in New York City so they brought along me, a New York City wedding photographer to help them capture their day! The venue was a former bank and the marble floors, vault, floor-to-ceiling windows, and stained glass dome contributed to the beautiful atmosphere as guests mingled, watched a video of wedding wishes from friends around the world, and joined in a touching and hilarious open-mic. The day was gorgeous and elegant, as were Meena and Suyash. Here are some of the highlights:
