Cute couple alert!! Meeting at cafes are probably a common thing amongst my couples. Amr was a hardworking med-student that frequently "studied" at a cafe where Justine was a barista in Chicago. After a couple of months of buying A LOT of coffee, he finally made his move and was happily accepted! Together they then moved to Brooklyn, NY where they both reside today and had their beautiful wedding at Astra on 59th and 3rd ave! Astra is by Charlie Palmer and is now named Upper Story in the D&D Building (Decoration and Design). This was a gorgeous New York City Wedding that was paired with an amazing chef, Charlie Palmer at his restaurant UPPER STORY (which is formally known as ASTRA) and delicious food with a gorgeous view of New York City right at their fingertips.
Sunset Boat Wedding at Grand Banks, A ship Restaurant off the piers of New York City
Sally and Chris got ready at the gorgeous Greenwich Hotel in New York City and had their ceremony and reception with close friends at Grand Banks; an AMAZING boat-restaurant on the 25th pier! I was totally blown away at the views!! After exchanging their vows, everyone enjoyed Murray Cheese plates, oysters and cocktails and celebrated with the couple on the boat. With the sun setting behind them, an amazing view of downtown manhattan in front of them, the amazing summer breezy pier weather- nothing could have topped this. It was one of the most unique weddings I've ever photographed!!! Definitely continually stapling why I love being a New York City wedding photographer! A New York City Outdoor Wedding in Fort Tryon Park - The New Leaf Restaurant
When you have a outdoor wedding in Fort Tryon Park, New York City — t's going to be amazing. Hands down. Lauren and Eric couldn't have planned it ANY more beautifully. The weather was perfect, their outfits were perfect-- and the florals for this wedding- everything blew me out of the water. Lauren and Eric are really down to earth, fun loving, food loving people. So they really match well with me :) Their sense of style also really resonated with me as well. Their wedding favors were mini Tabasco sauces that were entitled "keeping it spicy"!! HAHA! I die. It was so amazing.
One crazy part of this wedding was wayyy back, when they booked me, they were really excited to tell me about this awesome florist that Eric used to stop by at Brooklyn nearby their home all the time. But when they moved out of Brooklyn, the florist was so sad about them leaving, she even cried. They were THAT close to their florist- so now you can see clearly see how awesome these two are. So when they called her to do the flowers for the wedding-- she was thrilled! And boy did she create some gorgeous bouquets and decor! The best part too, is that when I met the florist, Kana (http://saffron-brooklyn.com/) ... I realized we KNEW each other and went to Laguardia (WOOT!) High School together!! What a small world!
Again, I really enjoyed every moment of this wedding day. Their families were both so awesome, funny and we shared some interesting moments together in the limo. I was so happy to be a part of their big day and thankful they wanted me to document it for them! They had their ceremony right in the park in Fort Tryon and then their reception at the New Leaf Restaurant - It truly is a HIDDEN GEM in New York City Weddings!

A Classic New York City Wedding at Il Bastardo in Chelsea and Wedding Photos at Central Park
YOU KNOW A WEDDING IS AWESOME WHEN THE BEST MAN GIVES THE GROOM A GAME OF THRONES CLOAK DURING HIS SPEECH. Hands down. Sam and Kevin actually were High School friends that reconnected a few years out of college. They became friends again on social media and Kevin struck up a conversation... and a few years down the road- they are now getting married! It was so awesome to be a part of their day and learn so much about these two individuals through their friends and family. They began their day at the Warwick Hotel, then we did all their wedding portraits in New York’s iconic Central Park, then they had their ceremony and reception at Il Bastardo in Chelsea, and the ceremony room was the creative brainchild of Samantha. Decked with floating candles, beautiful lush greens on the hanging chandeliers, it was just a gorgeous, gorgeous place to get married! I was so excited to photograph all the beautiful details and happy to be called their new york city wedding photographer. I’m excited to share some of my favorite photos from the day:
