The games in Chinese weddings are hilarious. I've seen a plenty, but this one was definitely stood out. The groomsmen had to help each other put on lipstick, pass a banana with their mouths (while taking a bite) and wear some naughty lingerie. AMAZING.
We also had the best of luck on a beautiful May day. Thunderstorms were around us, and just as we got to Brooklyn for some shots, the clouds let up, and it was pouring. Seeking shelter under the Manhattan Bridge, we knew the rain was going to let up soon. As we were waiting, we experienced the least NEW YORK CITY attitude ever. A man ran up to us in ponchos holding a bunch of umbrellas. All of our first reactions were, "how much?"-- but instead, he said he saw us up from his apartment window and came down just to lend us some umbrellas for the time being. I was floored! It was the most thoughtful thing any stranger has done here in New York City (especially in Brooklyn ...) He told us to send him a text after we finished borrowing them, and he would come back down and pick them up.
Lucky for us, it stopped raining soon after, and we were able to get some amazing shots and returned the umbrellas back to our new friend. YAY for GOOD New Yorkers! This makes me again love my job being a New York City Wedding Photographer!
