Katie & Amarveer wanted to do their engagement photos at the High Line in Chelsea, New York City. They wanted the rich urban vibes of the High Line and get some cool New York City street views as well. After those classic shots, they had a few of their best friends meet them at Washington Square Park and recreate some classic “Friends” NYC poses! (I figured it was perfect timing to blog this during the FRIENDS 25th anniversary year!!!) We took a little dip at the Washington Square Park water fountain (which yes, diehard fans, that’s not exactly where they filmed the opening of Friends BUT it SHOULD have been! LOL) and dancing with some NYC pigeons. O_O! It was a lot of fun working with them and their awesome group of friends and this was a engagement session/friend session to remember!
Gorgeous and Elegant Engagement Session on the High Line, New York City
Thomas and Kate wanted to have amazing photographs taken in Chelsea, The High Line and the west village! (seems to be a popular spot amongst my couples! Which is OK cuz I LOVE it there!) We made our rounds and had a ton of fun! It's always great to get real laughs out of people- especially if they're feeling shy! Hehe!! They met in NYC, both working at the infamous Paris Baguette (<3 the bakery!) and are having their official wedding in Korea and i was so honored to be chosen as their new york city wedding photographer! Loved working with these two!!

NYC Engagement Photography at THE PUBLIC Hotel ON THE Lower East Side, MANHATTAN
Soran and Jaemin, drawn by the magnetic allure of New York City, sought to immortalize their love story against its iconic backdrop. As a seasoned wedding and elopement photographer, I eagerly embraced their vision of a session that seamlessly blended casual sophistication with urban chic.
Their choice of the Public Hotel, renowned for its architectural splendor, set the stage for a breathtaking series of images that captured the essence of their bond. Against the backdrop of the city's skyline, framed by the sleek lines of the hotel's design, Soran and Jaemin's love shone brightly, a beacon amidst the bustling energy of Manhattan.
Exploring the vibrant streets of the Lower East Side, we embarked on a journey of discovery, uncovering hidden gems and secret corners that spoke to the heart of their relationship. From the historic charm of cobblestone streets to the eclectic mix of cultures and vibrant street art, every location served as a testament to their unique connection.
As a New York City wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of witnessing countless love stories unfold against this iconic backdrop. Yet, Soran and Jaemin's session was truly one-of-a-kind, a fusion of love, art, and the indomitable spirit of the city that never sleeps.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over the skyline, we bid farewell to yet another magical day in the Big Apple. Soran and Jaemin, their hearts brimming with joy and gratitude, radiated a warmth that lingered long after the final shot was taken. It was more than just a photoshoot—it was a celebration of love, art, and the enduring spirit of New York City.
South Street Seaport and El Luchador Tacos Engagement Session in New York City
Jenny and Tim live nearby South Street seaport, so they wanted to do their session down there, eat some tacos at one of their fav spots and walk around Battery Gardens-- oh and bring along their (big) pup, Rosie for the shoot! It was such a fun time walking around with them, trying to include Rosie in some shots and getting to know them! I loved that we got to eat some tacos at El Luchador!! Their tacos are so delicious!! I always love combining food into my engagement and wedding sessions- which is what makes it so great to live in NYC and be a new york city wedding photographer!! I’ll be shooting their wedding next year and it’s going to be exciting! Here are some of my favorites:
